You’re Not Just Wandering

"I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture." – John 10:9

There is a restlessness that lives in all of us. You have probably felt it in those quiet moments when the noise dies down, but something still feels missing. It is that sense that life is supposed to be fuller than this. Even in success or comfort, there can be a lingering ache underneath it all, like your soul is homesick for something you cannot quite name.

That ache is not a mistake. It is a signpost. You were made for something more than this world can offer. Not just for routines and responsibilities, not just for trying to feel good or look good or keep up. You were created for belonging, for peace, for something deeper than survival. That deeper thing has a name, Jesus. He is not just a path to life. He is life itself.

When Jesus said He is the door, He was not offering better instructions. He was offering Himself. He is the entry point into the kind of life you were made for. Not just in eternity, but right here in the middle of your ordinary days. The door is not locked. The way has already been made. What you are searching for in all those other things is waiting in Him.

You do not have to keep chasing the next big thing, hoping it will finally satisfy. Jesus is not just a concept to believe in or a rulebook to follow. He is the home your heart has always longed for. Real rest begins when you walk through that door and find yourself fully known, fully accepted, and finally at peace.

If the ache is still there, maybe that is not something to ignore. Maybe it is your soul telling you it is time to come home.
