The Worthy One (Message 1) Part 1

John sees a scroll in the right hand of Him who sits on the throne, sealed with seven seals representing God’s ultimate plan for redemption and judgment. A mighty angel asks, “Who is worthy to open the scroll?” and no one in heaven or earth is found worthy, causing John to weep.

But then the announcement comes: “The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed!” Jesus alone is worthy because of His victory through the cross and resurrection. This passage reveals the central truth of the gospel: Christ is the only one who can accomplish God’s plan and bring hope to a broken world.

Pastor Pete reminds us to stop looking to self or the world for ultimate hope because only Jesus is worthy. The main idea from this message is to behold the Lamb is to recognize that Jesus alone is worthy to fulfill God’s plan and secure our salvation.
