Peace In A Panicked World

Feb 8, 2026    Pete Pawelek

When the most powerful king in the world couldn’t sleep, his anxiety destabilized an entire kingdom. Panic spread. A death decree was issued. The system began to shake.

But Daniel didn’t.

In Daniel 2, we see the difference between a panicked ruler and a peaceful believer. While Babylon trembled, Daniel prayed. While the palace spiraled, Daniel worshiped. Why? Because he knew one unshakable truth: The One who created it all, controls it all.

This message explores:

• How God uses pressure to reveal His sovereignty

• Why panic exposes where our peace is rooted

• The power of prayer in destabilizing moments

• How divine perspective produces unshakable peace

Ultimately, this chapter points us to Jesus — the King who stood before earthly rulers and proved that all authority comes from above (John 19:11).

If you want real peace in a panicked world, it begins with surrendering your life to the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:16–17).

Because the kingdom of Christ cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28).
