The Perfection of God’s Timing
"But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son." - Galatians 4:4
Timing affects everything. When something comes too early, you are not ready for it. When something comes too late, you feel forgotten or frustrated. Most of life sits in the tension between what you want right now and what God is preparing for later. That is why Galatians 4:4 is so powerful. It reminds you that the most important event in history happened at the exact moment God intended. Not early. Not late. In the fullness of time.
The birth of Jesus was not the result of chance. It did not happen because the world suddenly became good enough. God had been aligning nations, shaping history, preparing hearts, and fulfilling prophecy for generations. Everything needed to be in place for the Savior to come. When the world was ready, and when God’s purpose was perfectly aligned, He sent His Son. That moment was not random. It was right on time.
If God was that intentional with the timing of Christ’s arrival, He is just as intentional with the timing of your life. You may feel like you are waiting too long for something to change. You may wonder why God has not acted yet. You may even think He has forgotten you. But the same God who moved heaven and earth to bring Jesus at the perfect moment is working in your story right now.
The delay you feel is not a sign of God’s disinterest. It is often a sign of His preparation. He sees what you cannot see. He knows what you are not ready for. He understands what has to come together before the next step makes sense. His timing is not just good. It is flawless.
When you cannot see what God is doing, trust His character. He has never been late. He has never missed a moment. He has never failed to fulfill a promise. The fullness of time applies to your life, too. Wait with faith. When the moment is right, God will move, and His timing will prove perfect once again.
