Delivered Into Divine Guidance
"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord." - Colossians 1:9-10
You are not expected to figure this life out on your own. The moment you gave your life to Jesus, you were not only rescued, you were resourced. God did not just forgive your past. He filled your future. And one of the greatest gifts He gave you in that moment was His Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not some distant concept or occasional voice. He is your personal guide. Your Counselor. The One who walks with you through questions, decisions, and battles you do not know how to fight. Paul’s prayer in Colossians was that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will and spiritual understanding. That is not something you work your way into with enough Bible reading or good behavior. It is something the Spirit provides as you walk closely with Him.
You do not have to guess your way through life. God has given you a way to know Him, to sense His leading, and to walk in a manner that reflects Him. There is peace in that. There is clarity in that. And there is power in knowing you are not stumbling forward alone.
If you have been living like it is all on you, stop. You were never meant to carry the weight of your own direction. Ask God to open your ears to the Spirit’s leading. Trust that He is still speaking. Let Him illuminate the steps in front of you. And when you are unsure, take confidence in the fact that the One who saved you is the same One who now guides you.
