The Battle is Already Won

"He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him." - Colossians 2:15

You don’t have to wonder who’s going to win. You don’t have to question whether the enemy still has the upper hand. The cross already answered that. Jesus didn’t just forgive your sins. He also stripped the enemy of his power. When He rose from the grave, the victory was sealed. No appeal. No rematch. The battle is over.

That means you’re not fighting for victory, you’re fighting from it. The enemy might still talk loud. He might still try to throw distractions, doubts, or accusations your way. But he’s already been disarmed. His weapons were taken. His grip was broken. The cross made a public display of his defeat.

When life feels like a war, it’s easy to slip into striving. You start trying to earn peace or manufacture strength. But that’s not your job. Jesus already conquered. Your role now is to stand firm in what He secured. The power you need is not something you create; it’s something you receive. And that power comes from knowing the war has already been won.

You don’t have to live anxious, paranoid, or constantly defeated. You’ve been raised with Christ, and the authority He carries now covers you. That doesn’t mean life is easy. It means the outcome isn’t in question. Satan is a liar, not a king. He has no final say. Jesus does.

Whatever battle you’re in today, remember that your Savior triumphed. The cross was His victory parade. And you, by faith, are walking in the wake of that win. Stand tall. The ground beneath your feet is already conquered.
