You Were Made for a Mission
"When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem." - Luke 9:51
Jesus didn’t drift. He didn’t meander from place to place, hoping life would eventually make sense. He lived with clarity, conviction, and purpose. And as His follower, you’re called to do the same.
Luke 9:51 marks a turning point in Jesus’ ministry. Up until that moment, He had traveled through towns, taught the crowds, healed the broken, and trained His disciples. But then the focus shifted. Jesus “set His face” toward Jerusalem. That wasn’t just a geographical decision. It was a spiritual declaration. He was walking straight toward the cross, with full awareness of the suffering ahead. And He didn’t flinch.
That’s the kind of clarity your life can have. You weren’t made to wake up every day wondering what you’re supposed to be doing. You were made to reflect Jesus in a world that desperately needs Him. You were made to live on mission.
That mission may not look flashy. It may not mean a global platform or a title in ministry. But it does mean waking up with spiritual intentionality. It means looking at your school, your job, your home, and your relationships as your Jerusalem. Not just places you pass through, but places where purpose lives.
Jesus walked into His mission with full resolve, and because of Him, your life now has direction. You are not lost. You are not behind. You are not random. The same Spirit that led Jesus to the cross now leads you into your calling.
So lift your head. Set your face. You have a mission. You have a Savior who went first. And you have everything you need to live like it.
