Grace Is Greater Than Our Worst Choices
“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
There is a lie that settles in quickly after we mess up. It tells us that we have crossed a line God will not step over. That what we did was too intentional, too reckless, or too embarrassing to recover from. Shame loves to convince us that God was patient until that moment, and now He is done. So we pull back, not because we do not believe in grace, but because we are afraid grace has limits.
The story of Tamar confronts that fear head-on. Her actions were not accidental. They were wrong, deceptive, and driven by desperation. Scripture does not soften that reality.
