A New Kingdom, A New Life

"He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son." – Colossians 1:13

Every single person lives under a kingdom. Whether we realize it or not, our thoughts, habits, decisions, and priorities all come from somewhere. For most of us, before Jesus, we lived under the rule of darkness. That kingdom was driven by fear, pride, shame, insecurity, and a need to prove ourselves. It was a kingdom of survival. But if you’re in Christ now, that’s not your kingdom anymore.

When Paul says you’ve been transferred, he doesn’t mean relocated physically. He means your entire reality has shifted. You’ve been brought out of a place that once claimed authority over you. You no longer live under the power of sin, the fear of failure, or the lies that used to define you. You have a new King, and His name is Jesus. And in His Kingdom, everything changes.

But here’s the catch: just because you’ve been transferred doesn’t mean you always live like it. Some of us walk around like we’re still under the old rule. We carry old labels, live by old patterns, and fall for old lies. But those things no longer own you. They do not get the final say.

God’s Kingdom is one of light, truth, freedom, grace, and purpose. And you are not just a visitor in that Kingdom, you belong to it. You’ve been moved, not just from something, but into something. Into a mission. Into a life that reflects the King who saved you.

You don't have to live like you’re still in the dark. You’ve been delivered. You’ve been transferred. Walk like it. Think like it. Fight like it. You’re not who you were. And this new Kingdom you belong to is not just your future, it’s your present reality.
