The Limp That Reminds You
"The sun rose upon him as he passed Penuel, limping because of his hip." - Genesis 32:31
Some moments with God change everything, but not in the way we expect. They do not always remove struggle or restore strength the way we hope. Sometimes they leave a mark. Scripture describes Jacob walking away from his encounter with God limping. The struggle ended, the blessing came, but the weakness remained. That detail matters.
The limp was not punishment. It was a reminder. Jacob would never walk the same way again because he would never depend on himself the same way again.
