When Life Feels Impossible to Fix
“With God all things are possible” – Matthew 19:26
There are moments in life when something breaks, and you know it cannot be fixed with a simple apology or a little more effort. The damage feels permanent. The story feels ruined. You look at what happened and quietly think, this is too far gone. That feeling shows up after betrayal, loss, shame, or a decision that changed everything. You may still believe God can fix other people’s situations, but yours feels like the exception.
That is where Tamar found herself. Her life was marked by loss, neglect, and broken promises. She was widowed, forgotten, and pushed aside by the very family that should have protected her. Time passed, and nothing changed. No justice. No restoration. No future. Her situation did not look difficult; it looked impossible. From the outside, her story appeared beyond redemption. Ok, had to go research who Tamar was and found a good site that explained the whole interesting story. Fascinating how Jesus's lineage has several nonHebrew women in it! Like Ruth, God was and is working behind the scene. Amen!
Sometimes I need this reminder that even though things seem beyond repair…that God is already working where I can’t see. This is a place I need to go to prayer more often than trying to white knuckle everything I’m trying so hard to hold on to.
