Blessing Comes Through Brokenness
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18
Brokenness is not something most people pray for. It sounds like loss, weakness, or failure. Many assume that if life starts cracking, God must be disappointed or distant. Scripture consistently pushes back on that assumption. Some of the most meaningful moments of transformation begin when pride is finally interrupted and strength gives way.
God often works by touching the places we protect most. Pride tells us we are fine, capable, and in control. Brokenness exposes how fragile those claims really are. This is not cruelty. It is care. When self-reliance is wounded, space opens for dependence. God breaks what keeps the heart closed so healing can begin.
You may recognize this pattern in your own story. A season where plans collapsed. Confidence faded. Control slipped through your fingers. What felt like loss at the time may have been the moment God was drawing you closer than ever. Brokenness strips away illusion and replaces it with honesty. The soul becomes receptive when it stops pretending to be strong.
Scripture never treats brokenness as punishment for those who belong to God. It treats it as preparation. Blessing often follows surrender. Depth forms where pride once stood. Compassion grows where hardness once lived. God reshapes identity by allowing pressure to expose what truly matters. The breaking is not the end of the story. It is the doorway into something new.
God does not waste pain. He uses it with purpose. Brokenness clears the way for blessing that pride could never receive. What feels like weakening is often God strengthening the right places. Healing flows where humility takes root. Blessing comes not because you are broken, but because brokenness makes room for God to do what strength never could.
